The IBA•PIXE 2025 conference will be held in the brand new Complexe des Sciences of Université de Montréal. Note that this complex is not on the main campus of Université de Montréal, but on Campus MIL, 2-3 subway stations away. (In Montréal, the subway system is called Métro, like in Paris.) The Campus MIL is at walking distance (5 min.) from to 2 métro stations of the Blue line: Outremont or Acadie.
Street address: 1375 Ave. Thérèse-Lavoie-Roux, Montréal. (Note that this is not the mailing address.)

Bus: The Montréal Airport (YUL) is connected to downtown via city Bus 747. If you're going to a downtown hotel such as the Novotel, use line 747-1. For the Novotel, get off the bus at Drummond Street. Lines 747-1 and 747-2 both stop at métro Lionel-Groulx where you can take the Green and Orange métro lines to the rest of the city. If you're staying at the Terrasse Royale or the University residences, or want to go directly to the conference venue, aim at the Blue line , and and get off at station Côte-des-neiges (Terrasse Royale), Edouard-Montpetit (residences) or Outremont (conference). Please note that to board these special buses (747), one needs a 24h pass or 3-day pass; single-passage tickets won't work. Weekly passes would also work but become valid only from the next Monday, so the other two passes are better options if arriving during the weekend. Also note that the A-zone tickets and passes only cover the Montréal Island, and not Laval and the South Shore (Brossard, Longueuil).
Taxi: There is a flat rate from the airport to downtown, but Université de Montréal is outside that zone so the price will depend on where one goes exactly and how long it takes. It is customary to give a 15% tip to the driver if you are satisfied.
Car: Driving in Montréal is like driving in New York or Chicago. (Right turn on red light is forbidden everywhere on the Montréal island.) Street parking in the immediate surrounding of the conference venue is forbidden, and restricted to 2h max in the neighbourhood (except for residents with a windshield sticker). There is a parking under the Complexe des Science (conference venue) for 20$/day (as of Nov. 2024, subject to changes) but with a limited number of spaces.
Special rates have been negotiated with a downtown hotel and the residences. Prices below are for one (1) night, in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude taxes. Reservation code required to benefit from these rates will be communicated through the mailing list.
Different conference outing options are offered. The conference banquet/networking event is scheduled to take place on the main campus of the Université de Montréal; tours of the ion beam lab, where ERD was invented, are planned on this occasion.
